Overview:

Action match, currently pistol only, to have some FUN safely. This will be a cross between IDPA and USPSA rules, and is pretty casual (except safety). We will finish in under 2 hours, usually about 90 minutes. 

Members ONLY (with badges)  - no guests or non-members other than a member's spouse with the member.

During Daylight Savings Time (April thru October) the match will start with a safety brief at 6.

Outside of DST (November Thru March) the match will start at 5. We will light the range somewhat starting at dusk. You are welcome to use a handheld or weapon mounted light. We normally finish shooting by 6:30 but will stop at 7 regardless of whether we are done.

2 squads of 10 (max) each, 4 stages. Ranges 4/5. If you sign up and cannot attend, PLEASE withdraw at least 24 hours in advance.

Time+points for scoring. USPSA and/or IDPA cardboard silhouette targets.

$10 cash (all proceeds will go back into the match)

Shooting from  concealment is optional. Appendix and strong hand belt side are fine. Drawing from any position that will break the 180 or sweep yourself during the draw will not be permitted (no small of back, no crossdraw, no shoulder holsters, no ankle or pocket carry even with holsters).

Expect movement. Cover will be required if stage brief says so.

Expect reloads on the clock, at least when stage brief says so.

Required round count per stage will be in the 10-18 range. You should bring at least 2 magazines, or enough for 18 rounds, whichever is higher, and have a way to carry the reloads, preferably on your belt.

Irons and optics divisions. Optics more like carry optics, not open division. This is a casual match, for fun, and hopefully not an equipment race. The gun you carry, the way you carry it, is ideal, but not required.

Restrictions:

• No magazines longer than 140mm.

• No thumb ledges

• No frame mounted optics

• No brakes or compensators beyond the slide

• No ammo more energetic than 357 magnum, no rimfires

• IWB or OWB holster with trigger and slide covered to rear of ejection port; no Blackhawk Serpas or similar where index finger releasing retention is at trigger position; no ankle, pocket, drop leg, or open style holsters
